Credit  Information

Be sure to register for all sessions through PD Pro. There are two types of registration possibilities.  Many courses offer both choices. Here is a guide to help know which is best for you:

1.  Certificate of Attendance/Audit
  • This means you can sign up and participate for FREE! 
  • You will receive a certificate to submit to CDE for relicensure (cannot be used for horizontal advancement)

​2.  CCSD Credit
  • This means you can use the transcript to move up the salary scale AND you can submit the paperwork to CDE for relicensure
  • 1 credit = 15 hours 
  • $75 per credit hour

How  do  I  withdraw  from  a  course/change  my  registration?

 Under >My Courses >My Learning Opportunities there will be a withdrawal icon to the right of each course.  Participants may withdraw themselves until the course begins.  Once a course has begun, the instructor or Rebecca Brindle must withdraw you.  

The fastest and easiest way to change your registration is to withdraw from the course/section and re-register for the correct one.  The system will automatically refund any fees paid and you will pay again for the new registration.  **There is not a way to "transfer" payment from one course/section to another.   This is also how to change the credit type selected. 

I  don't  want/ need  credit  for  a  course  but  it's  forcing  me  to  pay!

The credit  types available for a course are at the discretion of the instructor and not all courses are available for a certificate of attendance.  Please reach out to the course instructor to inquire about credit types not listed.

The  course  says  it's  meeting  at  4:00am  do  I  really  have  to  be  online  at  that  time?

No!  Most of the courses this summer are self-paced with the content available between June 1-30 or July 1-31.  Sometimes PD Pro forced the instructor to assign a meeting time so they pick a time such as 4:00 AM to not create scheduling conflicts with other courses. If there are synchronous meeting times for a course, it will say so in the course description or NOTES area.  Still concerned?  Reach out to the instructor.

If  i  add  myself  to  the  waitlist,  will  I  have  to  pay?

No, you may add yourself to the waitlist without paying.  If a seat opens, PD Pro will contact you (watch for an email from True North Logic) giving you the option to register and pay for the course (if applicable).  If there is no fee for the course, you will be automatically added to the roster when a seat opens. 

WHen  will  i  get  my  certificate? 

Once the instructor marks completion, you will be notified via email that the course survey is available.  Once you complete the survey, the course immediately posts to your PD Pro transcript as long as there is not an outstanding balance due.  Go to the Transcript tab; scroll past the credit type tabs and click the CERTIFICATE # of the course to generate a .pdf.

on  demand/cares act courses - where  is  my  certificate?

After completing the course in Schoology, you will need to complete a quick course survey in PD Pro.  Surveys are located in My Courses (click View All) on the homepage OR in your transcript.  Once the survey is complete, the certificate will immediately be available in your transcript.

CAN I COMBINE ON DEMAND COURSES TO recive CREDIT?

On demand courses are available only for a certificate of attendance that may be used for re-licensure. They are not eligible for CCSD credit or horizontal advancement.
